Philosophy

Good code solves a real problem.

I start from the business problem and only write the first line when I know what it must deliver. A habit built over 25 years of listening to clients before proposing solutions.

Journey

Coding since 2020. Solving problems since 1987.

I started coding after 25 years understanding business from the inside. Every milestone below was built on that foundation.

    Before the code

25+ years of real worldBR · USA · IT · PT

    • B2B technical sales, my own companies and major accounts: 25+ years understanding businesses from the inside.
    • Lived and worked in 4 countries; 4 languages under my belt.
    • The business fluency that now guides my code: I understand the problem before the first line.

    Frontend, design & creativity

Continuous immersion: the robustness needed to look good

    • With a solid backend foundation, I devoted myself to frontend and design: now I needed to build pages that were beautiful and efficient.
    • Rocketseat Ignite (2021–2023): immersive, advanced training in Node.js, React, Next.js and React Native with TypeScript, building full-stack applications end to end.
    • Deep JavaScript with Cod3r (async, functional, RxJS) and B7Web; frontend and UX/UI with Origamid; interface design and prototyping with Figma Descomplicado.
    • The creative finish: Bruno Simon's Three.js Journey (WebGL, shaders, 3D) and GSAP (high-performance animation). It's the layer you're seeing on this page.

AI Agents

Multi-agent System

A multi-agent AI system orchestrated with LangGraph: a router classifies intent and dispatches to specialized agents (CRM and finances) that act by connecting to the platform services. Powered by OpenAI and Anthropic models, exposed as a FastAPI service.

Income-Tax Review (Desktop)

A desktop app (Tauri + Rust + React) for reviewing IRPF (Brazilian income-tax) returns: it imports and parses .DEC declaration files from Receita Federal, extracts data per taxpayer (CPF) and tax year (taxable, exempt and exclusively-taxed income) and organizes it locally in SQLite — with device-bound licensing (JWT) and a NestJS licensing backend.

Building

Building now.

A product I am building right now. It is not in production yet and has no real users, but it shows how I think about product and engineering: what already runs and what is designed, honestly separated.

Treino Aliado

The differentiator: for curriculum-based modalities like jiu-jitsu, attendance reveals which techniques each student has already seen and flags churn risk, to grow and retain students, not just store data.

A multi-tenant SaaS to run academies end to end, with per-academy configurable modalities: from martial arts (jiu-jitsu) to weight training and other activities. It manages the academy, the students and the training, in a mini-startup model: sales page, self-service checkout and automatic provisioning of a subdomain per academy.

Not in production yet, no real users.

Already built and tested

  • Multi-tenancy and identity (the most mature context): academy as a Host-resolved tenant, people, roles (owner/professor/student), locally verified Ed25519 JWTs, rotating refresh tokens with reuse detection, idempotency and argon2 hashing.
  • Students: profiles, belt and graduation history, plans and membership status.
  • Training: ad-hoc and recurring classes, idempotent attendance check-in, techniques taught per class and private per-student professor comments.
  • Modalities: per-academy configurable catalog (from jiu-jitsu to weight training and other activities); this is what lets the platform serve academies of different kinds.
  • Insights (the differentiator): a read-model (CQRS) via a transactional outbox that derives each student's technique coverage, streaks and progress.
  • Quality: contract-first API (OpenAPI) with a CI drift gate, HTTP→Postgres integration tests and CI with lint, vet and gitleaks. 19 ADRs and design docs.

Designed, on the roadmap

  • Payments: Asaas (student→academy) and Mercado Pago (academy→platform).
  • Event broker (RabbitMQ) with a DLQ.
  • Community service (feed and posts) in NestJS.
  • Media upload with CDN; caching and rate-limiting with Redis.
  • Student app in React Native.
  • Marketing site with self-service checkout and automatic tenant provisioning.
  • White-label and per-academy theming; isolation with Postgres RLS.

About

Behind the terminal.

Divorced, I was married for 17 years, and from that story came my children: Gabriel, in Hamburg (Germany), and Stephanie, in Lisbon (Portugal). I talk to them every day.

Today I'm in Petrópolis (RJ), living a nomadic life through Airbnb. Over the past year I lived in towns on the northern coast of SP, in the south of MG, and now in Rio de Janeiro.

Reading

I read about 3 books a month, stoicism, Russian classics, personal development, health and much more.

Culture

A devourer of films and series. I love theater and live shows.

Sport & adventure

Jiu-jitsu, swimming (pool and open water), paragliding (pilot), hiking, weight training and cycling.

Remote setup

MacBook Pro M3 Max with 48 GB of RAM, two monitors (one ultrawide), mechanical keyboard, ergonomic mouse, headset and a gamer chair for comfort. On standby: a Mac mini running Ubuntu and a Windows laptop. The desk folds into a slim case: the office travels with me.

Study discipline

I study every single day: consistency is what matters. That's how the career change happened and how it continues, from German to whatever AI ships next.

Craft

Code is for people.

A machine will run anything; the ones who read, maintain and use it are people. I write for the end user and for the next dev after me.

Above all, what always works: hard work, done with a lot of love.
